Rust:Rules

Welcome to Protobit Rust!

We may refrain offering our services to you if you have one or more infractions of breaking these rules, please help us keep our community enjoyable for everyone.

Generic offenses applicable to our entire network of services and game-servers can be found in Rules.

Max of 4 players (Team UI) roaming, raiding, or defending together.

• You may have unlimited players in situations where numbers don't matter, or if everyone doesn't intend on fighting.
• Allies are permitted and may be easily identified using the clan system.

Keep chat and other forms of communication clean.

• Keep racism and homophobia to an absolute minimum.
• Slight toxicity and trash talk is allowed, as long as it doesn't spiral into hate speech.
• Do not spam chat.
• NSFW behavior and content is not allowed in public channels
• Sharing external content (links) is not permitted unless part of the topic of conversation.
• Advertising is not allowed (Unless it's related to a service in-game, like a shop)
• Remain civil, do not threaten players (outside of Rust context) or dox anyone.

• These rules will not be automatically enforced in private text channels (Such as PMs, Team / Clan Chat, etc), unless we receive a report or complaint from someone.
  • This does not apply to Local chat, or any voice communications within Protobit such as VOIP.

Do not use cheats or exploits

• Using cheats, hacks or similar forms of modifications are prohibited. (This includes attaching a debugger or attempting to reverse engineer Rust on our server)
• Exploits (also known as bug abusing) is not allowed. Please report any bugs you find to the forum (for bugs that don't give advantages) or directly to an Operator
• Forms of automated player actions, such as macros, auto-clickers, and modifications that perform actions on your behalf, are not permitted.
  • Depending on the situation, auto-clickers or macros may be permitted. Contact an Operator if you have inquires about your situation.

Do not intentionally overload, disrupt, or abuse bugs in our services.

• Punishments will be inflicted on players that perform actions of this kind.
• You are recommended to report issues with our services privately to an Operator.

Do not abuse offline raid protection

• TCs that are only meant to grief other players may not have offline protection.
• Giving yourself protection while you are online (either by using a throwaway account, a friend, or any other method) will result in every affiliated player losing the ability to have offline protection

You are required to be 13 years or older.

• You are required to be at least 13 years of age to use our services or connect to Protobit.
  • Do not joke about being underage. Punishments will be issued if we are alerted to someone possibly being under-aged.
• You may get your player data wiped and account banned until you can prove that you are of legal age.

Do not act like a staff member.

• You may guide players or remind them of server rules, but leave it to a staff member if tensions escalate.
• Impersonating a staff member for any reason will result in an immediate ban.

Punishment evading is not allowed.

• If you are found to be evading a punishment inflicted by a staff member, your punishment will be increased.
• Any additional accounts that are used to evade punishments will be permanently suspended from all Protobit services.

These rules are a suggestion on what not to do. Punishments are allowed to be modified by staff members if the situation requires it. We also retain the authority to change these rules at any time with notice to keep up with rule lawyering or new inappropriate behaviour.
