Rules

We may refrain offering our services to you if you have one or more infractions of breaking these rules.

Respect your peers and the staff team.

• Broad term for don’t be misogynistic, homophobic, transphobic, or anything of that nature.
• Do not insult or humiliate players or staff members.
• Try to not act hostile, even if you get provoked into it. There's nothing wrong with taking a break from the chat, or calling for a staff member to investigate the situation.
• Don’t do malicious conduct as a "Revenge" to another player’s actions, it will not help you in any way at all.
  • Try to not interact in disputes or arguments if possible.
  • If you have personal problems with somebody, you are recommended to block the user.

Be "of age".

• You are required to be at least 13 years of age to use our services.
  • Do not joke about being underage. Punishments will be issued if we are alerted to someone possibly being under-aged.
• You may get your player data wiped and account suspended until you're of legal age.

Keep controversial topics out of public chat channels.

• This includes, but is not limited to, politics, religion in certain contexts, acts of violence outside of Minecraft, venting, suicide or self-harm.
• If you are having a rough time, it's recommended to seek professional help outside of Protobit.

NSFW (18+) content is prohibited in public chat channels.

• Act decent in your chat messages, skin, builds, etc. Suggestive content is up to the discretion of a staff member.
• You are permitted to discuss NSFW topics in private chat channels, where everyone in the channel have agreed that they are comfortable discussing the topics.

Do not use prohibited client modifications, or gain an unfair advantage over other players.

• Using cheat/hacked/utility clients, x-ray, Baritone, or similar forms of modifications are prohibited.
• These modifications provide you an unfair advantage over other players, which is not allowed.
• There may be exceptions granted by the Operators if requested. You are not to abuse any exception granted in a way that was not the intended purpose of the exception.
• Exploits (also known as bug abusing) is not allowed. Please contact an Operator privately to disclose any exploits you find.

• Forms of automated player actions, such as macros, auto-clickers, and modifications that perform actions on your behalf, are not permitted.
  • Depending on the situation, auto-clickers or macros may be permitted. Contact an Operator if you have inquires about your situation.

• Modifications that display sensitive, or reveal hidden information that a normal player does not have access to view, are not permitted.
  • This includes inspecting network packets sent by our services.
  • If you find any sensitive information that should not be visible, contact an Operator to disclose the vulnerability.

• Some modifications may provide a "Fair Play" mode or version that disables certain features that may be considered an advantage. You are recommended to use any "Fair Play" mode or version of a modification if it does not abide by our rules.

• For a list of known modifications that are explicitly allowed or disallowed, along with possible replacements or settings that need to be configured, see Client Modifications.

Do not act like a staff member.

• You may guide players or remind them of server rules, but leave it to a staff member if tensions escalate.
• You are prohibited from impersonating members of the staff team. You will receive an immediate suspension if you do so.

Do not advertise or self-promote.

• Exceptions include if the conversation requires a link or external site.
• Malware or malicious content is not permitted to be sent at any point.
  • You will receive a suspension if you perform this action.
  • Private chats may be used to share content of this nature only if the intention is not malicious. Examples include sending malicious content to Operators for review, or other users.

Do not intentionally overload, disrupt, or abuse bugs in our services.

• Suspensions will be inflicted on players that perform actions of this kind.
• You are recommended to report issues with our services privately to an Operator.

Punishment evading is not allowed.

• If you are found to be evading a punishment inflicted by a staff member, your punishment will be increased.
• Any additional accounts that are used to evade punishments will be permanently suspended from all Protobit services.

Respect decisions made by the staff team.

• They’re doing their job as volunteers to help maintain a fair and stable playing ground for you and other players.
• If you have any concerns or would like to contest the decision, privately message an Operator, and do not argue or harass anyone from the team.
• If the majority of the Operators agree to decline your appeal, it is final and cannot be changed.
• Trying to find ways around the rules is not allowed.
  • These rules are a suggestion on what not to do. Punishments are allowed to be modified by staff team members if the situation requires it.
